A Nostalgic Ride Through College Life.
Kirik Party is a delightful representation of university life through the eyes of Rakshit Shetty playing Karna, who is very much like the typical young adult. Jokes and sentimental moments that make one think are the techniques used by this movie to address youth issues genuinely and emotionally. Rashmika Mandanna and Samyuktha Hegde’s touching performances offer more realism to this narrative while the rest of the cast breathes life into it.
The ordinary stories are given life through Rishab Shetty’s imaginative storytelling which it arouses laughter, romance, drama. B Ajaneesh Loknath’s music in it enhances watching with songs that merge seamlessly into the story. The camaraderie of college years is well captured by Karm Chawla’s camera angles as tight editing keeps the film pacey.
Though some scenes may be slower than ideal, “Kirik Party” makes up for such inadequacies by capturing true relationships and universal themes of friendship as well as self-discovery. This Kannada flick reminds us of what our college days were like being down-to-earth with genuine characters making you remember your old friends with a smile on your face.
